Main factor of food spoilage are:
- Contamination by microbial (This will be focus by food microb student lah)
- Through enzymatic process from microbial in the microenvironment
The spoilage of food happened when:
- microorganism has accesed to food (eg; by handler of food)
- the environment is suitable for microbial growth
- Microbial colonized food for long period of time, hence number of microbial enough to undergo spoilage process.
Spoilage food detection: Slime formation, Souring taste, Discoloration, Gas formation and odour.
Microbial number play important role in food spoilage. Generally, spoil level range of bacteria colonization is in the range of 10^-6-10^-7 cfu/mL(g).

mun makan makanan yg spoil? selamat mun spoilage ya bukan disebabkan oleh pathogenic bacteria... or bacteria ya x produce toxin... in term of food microbiology, food spoilage is difference with food bourne disease. It just makanan2 yg spoilage ada simptom2 yg x sedap seperti odour, taste yang rosak la.
And it also depend ngan individual ability ntuk tahan ngan type of spoilage. hahahaha, as I mention, spoilage term ya, makanan yg rasanya sik menepati citarasa pengguna. Mun org nok nang suka budu nyaman la, mun org nok sik makan budu nang nya pdh ikan pusuk basik la budu ya...
