now d real "sikda keja molah keja"...

salam to my long time no see blog... its been a while not to update this blog. I am not busy since I am unemployed person now but limited connection to internet restrict me... And here I am, a "sikda keja molah keja" person.
Just came back from UNIMAS, submiting my application form. Hope they will call me for some sort of interview and accept me there. One month just doing 'private' work at home is enough I think, and now I really need job which result to gain money n then can buy sumthin... errr car maybe:P... house? just stay at my parent house firstlah... And that is why UNIMAS coz it is what I can say one of the near by workplace from my home (15 minutes will do when u speeding like Abi)....
And now waiting until 1pm... I have my last appointment with Hospital Umum Kuching... yeah, its been a while i keep on visiting hospital during my holiday time. And I have some kind of disorder known as 'Keratoconus' on my left eye. What is that? google it n wiki it lah if you are interested on keep people kain (jaga tepi kain?)... generally it make me cannot see properly even with the aid of my specs.... It happened since April when I still struying but I just taught my degree increase dramatically and yet... a rarely disorder come to me... from 1000 people... I am the chosen one. Whatever it is, it can be corrected by RGP lens, slightly different from ordinary contact lens but i never use it yet since money restriction of course. And worst come to worst when this lens can't help.... cornea transplant will make way to repair my eyes... Owh, macam meluahkan perasaan plak...

Microbiological Spoilage of Food

Spoilage in food is define as the taste of food is below consumer's standard of good quality food. From the definition, food spoilage is a subjective answer for each food where some peJustify Fullople might consider particular food is tasty and some will consider it as below standard taste (spoilage). As example: Budu...:P

Main factor of food spoilage are:
- Contamination by microbial (This will be focus by food microb student lah)
- Through enzymatic process from microbial in the microenvironment

The spoilage of food happened when:
- microorganism has accesed to food (eg; by handler of food)
- the environment is suitable for microbial growth
- Microbial colonized food for long period of time, hence number of microbial enough to undergo spoilage process.

Spoilage food detection: Slime formation, Souring taste, Discoloration, Gas formation and odour.

Microbial number play important role in food spoilage. Generally, spoil level range of bacteria colonization is in the range of 10^-6-10^-7 cfu/mL(g).

Factor Influencing Microbial Growth in Food

The discussion of factor that influencing microbial growth in food can be categorized into 2 part: intrinsic factor and extrinsic factor.

In word, Extrinsic is something that will influence the growth externally and in opposite internal is something that influence the growth directly. (This definition is the way I understand for this word, so you might have some other definition by your own).

The first thing to discuss is the intrinsic factor. The intrinsic factor that influence the microbial growth in food are pH value, water activity (Aw), Redox potential (Eh), nutrients and inhibitory subtances.

pH value is a measure scale in detemine the acidity and basicity of dilution aqueous solution. Chemically said, it is to measure free H+ in the system where it is expressed as pH= -log[H3O+].

Since the discussion is on food microbiology, the discussion will not discuss on how to calculate all those pH value so if any of you still don't know... just google it.

In general, neutral pH (~pH7) is suitable for most bacterial growth and acidic pH is a suitable pH for yeast and mould. The spoilage in acidic food is longer than neutral pH food.

Fruits is basically an acidic food where mainly acid can be found are tartaric acid, acetic acid and malic acid. Hence yeast and mould are suspect for fruit spoilage.

Vegetable is a low buffer foods where it has low acid and moderate pH range (pH4-6.5). Hence it is susceptible on spoilage of bacteria and some mould.

In meat, the pH is almost neutral. Hence, bacteria is the main cause of spoilage of this type of foods when it was related to pH value.

Last Moment in Monash

Two weeks more and I am done with Monash University. Some mixed feeling of course right now. Do feel comfortable here and think that will miss their library very much... The most condusive library ever event though a lot of noise sometimes... errr the whole time i mean.
My final sem, hehehe well known already by Monashian, juz taking a subject.... And well, I do take note of it since i do think people do 'bahan' me with this thing. If not, why some people that i never mention they know bout it? hahaha... yes, got some pro and con anyway. But I like.
Currently, theoretically I am done with Food Microb and now... keep repeating read some slides that i think important. Hopefully it is important
Target? Of course Iam targeting for HD, which will be my first and only for my undergraduate life. POssible? In theory it is possible. With my internal... yes it is possible but yet a bit tough:P
Anyway, the possible target along with my capability should be 76% and above... Amin, do pray for me to those who read this... If only I can get 76 then I can have percentage of 70... and iot really help me in getting great reduction payment for my MARA loan...
Ok,continue studying.... (today FWC2010 break maybe. not interested in Ghana, Serbia, Slovakia, Germany, Algeria and alaaa luper plak):P

- 25-26 September 2010, will be historical in Bujang Saili family. My big "small" sister will engage and marry to Selangorian... and the event will be held in My Kampung.... To those who are free and have a lot of money, do come to my house.. hahaha

- And, can't wait for the day to have my own "anak buah" frm their marriage. Pin, ku tauk ko sikda mok baca blog ku nak? Siti jak mok baca blog ku... ya pon mun nya rajin, tok leka melayan gereknya alu lupak mok singgah.... Aku mok men ngan anak buah dah eh... ko nenga sik??? hahaha. Aku doakan dopermudahkan segala urusan ko ya kelak. Walaupun, kinek tok ku bizi ngan exam.... (satu subjek jak pon)...

- Well, this post is not random writing, juz a suggestion from someone who want me to update my blog.. and hell!!!! I used English? no!!!! of course a lot of grammar error, n plz!!! don't be too mathiculus with d language:P.... n ya, still have 20 minutes before Subuh Azaan.
